Heartbreak

I lived and loved, 
hurt and ached
 pained my heart 
to watch it break.

Gave it all, 
got none in return
to build a life
and watch it burn.

Be it right or wrong,
my destiny astray
to do it over endlessly
as time just ticks away.

If I knew then,
what I know now
I'd saved my love
someway, somehow.

Hmm, what makes you a paradigm of love is primarily what you have to offer and not what you are offered. And going through this piece, I can surely say you are one. Love itself will pain your days in bright colours to attract its kind. Nice expression
