Heartbeat
Your picture on the stand
Stares back at me and I understand
The meaning of missing a part of my heart
A feeling that lingered from the start
You remain as real as my breath
Even in death
We count the days and never miss a mark
Gazing at each other knowing the reason in the dark
Hands reaching out clinging
Our love carries us from the beginning
Not a day goes by without mentioning your name
Memories of you burn like a flame
The silence feels heavy in the air
Life is not the same without our dear Carebear
You were a ray of light and now the missing link nothing could prepare us
We grieve, we celebrate and in our love we trust
The Unthinkable
Is now the Unbearable
A beautiful legacy you left behind
Two hearts that loved you intertwined
We carry the pain a tribute to you
In every memory your light shines through
You are a testament that love endures beyond loss
If it means remembering you I will bear it like a cross
Your memories carry me
To a place where it is always Christmas and carefree
