Heartache Meets the Pen

There's been a lot of poems
Written about broken hearts
But, sometimes, we take for granted
From where a poem starts

It comes from silent heartaches
That's buried within our soul
Years of wasted minutes
Of the things we can't let go

Ressurected feelings
Of a love that didn't last
All the borrowed memories
Of a once forgotten past

It's the pent-up raw emotion
Of the pain we're holding in
Released to pen and paper
As a heartache meets the pen

Yes, we have many poems about heartache, Larry. It's important to release these "pent-up raw emotions" and writing is an excellent outlet for young and old alike. Very nice writing! Love, Carolyn
