HEART SPEAK

I think it was your eyes
My favorite color in view
Sending me secret messages
Every time I looked at you

I can still feel your hands
Calloused from working the farm
Yet when you held mine
I was secure from all harm

I can still see you walk
A stride of confidence and swag
My heart could trust
Without worry of you pulling back

But the notes, found in my locker
Took my hope and gave me wings
"I want to kaboosh you"
As my desire opened up to sing

....I am loved
