Heart Opened

if my heart is open
and I've unfolded it to you
and if i told you save me
as i cry your name
would you hold me in your arms
would you gently kiss my head
would you tell me I'm your everything
or would you let me cry instead

but you are all i need and you know it
and i am all you want and you show it
i am all you need
and you are all I'll ever want
love is the bond that holds us close
and keeps you near my heart

but if my heart is open
and I've unfolded it to you
and if i told you save me
as i cry your name
what would you do
would you carry me to safety
or would you safely hold my hand
would you tell me I'm your everything

because i know i am
you've told me this so many times
i don't know why i bother asking
and you know i live to
hear your voice at night
whispering in my ear
to feel you kiss me softly 
until I'm deep asleep

so if my hear was open
and I'd unfolded it to you
and if I'd told you save me
as i cried your name
i know you'd 
gently kiss my hand
and carry me to safety
then safely kiss my hands
and keep me in your arms
and whisper in my ear
"you know your my everything"

Michael Harman January 14, 2010 at 7:19 AM I feel it, comin back again, like a rollin thunder chasin the wind, forces pullin from the center of the earth again, i can feel it... from Live, lighting crashes.... the heartbreak, lol
