Heart of Darkness

Into the heart of darkness, stagnant rivers where black jungle monkey's swing, An implosion of surrealism, cartridge days, they detonate and zing, Where in hell does it lead to, do I want to converse with pagan gods, Do I risk the fall of human dice, chance my hand and face the odds? Live wires spit and cauterise, nervous gators circle all the while, And crocs with latent corpses eyes, bare teeth and speculate and smile; What in hell am I doing, what answers do I seek to find, Do I want to make it all come right; do I shut up shop and close my mind? Crying to the waters, they are deaf, canals of scum and blood, Emotionless and fetid, flowing nowhere, residual streams of mud; What in hell am I thinking of, do I spawn remorse and foster it, Do I want to travel back in time, be savaged by some hypocrite? In this, my heart of darkness, where the truth lies with the life I knew All is inclusive of all I have lost, and yet no longer wants for you.
