Heart of a Poet
Poet’s words capturing the reader’s heart
A story dialog that makes its mark
The heart of another that the Poet to whom he wishes express
Heart to heart being a true confess
Poets are who we are
Our ideas of words and thoughts have travelled far
But it is the Poet who always says it best
We are more than a phrase on a baseball cap
To get our attention just do a shoulder tap
The Poet in telling their story that will amaze
A moment of have you heard
Happiness in one verse
Desperation being controlled in reverse
The Poet’s angle alone
Encouragement that the Poet wants to be known
To the reader, it is actually being shown
A Poets enduring piece
A charmer who wants notions to be released
So heart of the inner soul
Words that come from a faceless hole
It’s line by line being the scroll
It is the entirety being the whole
The writing Queens and Kings being the majesty of the “Heart of the Poet”
Refreshing enjoyment and sentences being food for the soul
Poetry that never gets old.
