Heart Break

Three shootings in a single week, I can hear every American heart weep. With every story and post I read, I can feel my heart’s endless bleed. Every story sounds the same, Our own country is to blame. Trust in the police force fades, As smoke from a silent grenade. I pray change will soon arrive, And shine through like sunshine. We need our system upgraded, Our view of society is outdated. It’s time for change and restoration, Put a halt on selfish expectations. A country only grows if we step together, Alone we fall as leaves in windy weather.
