Heart Awakening

I met a man the other day
He really takes my breath away

His wit is quick
His smile delights
His spirit sends my heart aflight

I think he knows what I feel
It's hard to tell, his lips are sealed

I'd like to get to know him well
To share secrets only the heart can tell

I think he's taken
He really won't say
That could be why he shies away

I'd like to spend more time with him
Because I would like his heart to win

I think he's already won my heart
Heck, he had mine from the very start

He's sweet and kind and very smart
It seems he's trying to hide his heart

It's in there somewhere
I know it is
And when I find it
It's mine, not his!
