Heart and Mind

What part of the body dies first?
I think it might be the brain,
As you get old and forgetful
Things get harder to retain
When the brain dies
All deeds and thoughts depart
Other organs become useless
Except perhaps the heart
The rhythm of the heart,
Is the essence of our soul,
It has a mind of its own
And that is what keeps us whole
