Heart Ache

Why is it me you’re not seeing?
It’s not my name you call out when you’re sleeping.
You’ve been with me longer
But your feelings for her are stronger.
I don’t know how much I can take
Living in this heartache.
How can I win your heart?
Before I lost it
I had it from the start.
When you dream I know it’s her you see.
My heart is dying of defeat
Because when you leave I am beat.
Till then I hold all the hope I can
Even if it’s more than I can stand.
