Heart

do not lay me down to die
for i am not done yet
hungers still apon my eye
my coiled spring is set
i will not bow in a storm
or break against the rocks
forged in me as i was born
the heart to take the knocks
within me lays the fire
a passion for my soul
a will to force desire
and rise above it all
so do not lay me down to die
or presume that i am done
for as you smile and pass me by
i already know ive won
