Hearsay

Who believes in hearsay
Only a fool
Unless it comes from the horse's mouth
Hearsay can be a vicious tool

One repeats it to another
Then they repeat it too
The gossip is embellished
Until none of it is true

A person should say nothing
Until the positive truth is shown.
Hearsay is only hearsay
Until the real facts are known

Some people do not like the facts
They prefer the fiction
Scraps of unfounded information
To add to their addiction

They like to spread gossip
Misinforming most who read
The daily paper
To get a hearsay feed.
