Healthcare

My healthcare plan is changing -
We’re being reassured
That doctors will, if we are sick,
Still try to get us cured.

They’re trying to convince us
This plan will be so great
We have no cause for worry
Nor a need to hesitate.

The city will save money
But it will not cost us more
So I wonder whence the savings
And what are these changes for?

I hear their explanations
And their upbeat attitude;
Still, I’m left with the impression
That we’re somehow getting screwed.

I imagine you are correct "I hear their explanations And their upbeat attitude; Still, I’m left with the impression That we’re somehow getting screwed."

COVID-19 victims are leaving millions of dollars of unpaid medical expenses and someone must pay for sheer stupidity (but not the DOE)! The price of a London Broil steak just increased 500% whilst being reduced in size 50%, so you are assured neither government nor grocer are being screwed! Nice write again, Ilene!

I hear you, Ilene. That's always my feeling when changes are made and we are told they will be better FOR US. Says who? Why? And how are they going to eventually bite me in the butt?
