Healing Rain
The days were hot, the air was still
Leaves began to drop, they lost their will
And then the rains began to fall
Moisture and relief began to call.
A joyful treat for animal and trees
And blades of grass waving in the breeze
With joyful sounds as puddles formed
Cracks in dry ground were soon transformed.
Tho life may crack, joy comes to heal
Eyes open you begin to feel
Relief, as with the gently rain
It comes to quench your soul again.
So, while you wait for rain to come
Tho seems too slow, absent for some
Do as the leaves with colors bright
Be patient, things will soon come right.
