Healing From a Broken Heart-Part One

I suffered from being hit,
It sometimes hurt to sit:
Bruised and battered one day,
My mother loved me in her own way:
I went to school with a bloody nose,
It didn't matter if it shows:
It embarrassed me so much,
I turned to God for a loving touch:
My tooth was knocked out with a hair brush,
My mother said not to tell, "hush":
My heart was broken a lot,
My mother never got caught:
My broken heart is healing everyday,
God loves me every way:
I thank God for healing me,
I know that he cried with me, you see.
