Healing a Heart

I couldn't stop the bleeding from a broken heart..
Both hands pressed down hard but it still wouldn't stop..

I held your lifeless heart in my hands and spoke softly to you..
Told you of better days and places and things we can do..

The glow came back and the beat started to pick up it's pace..
As I looked up a beautiful smile returned to your loving face..

There is no medicine or bandage that can cure a broken heart..
Love and friendships are the road to take for the healing to start..
