Heal Me Not

They say all wounds will heal with time
In truth they do not know
When Love is lost forever more
The wounds just grow and grow

 each cliche with best intentions
Designed to help us cope
as days and months and years go by
Diminish each glimmer of hope

 perhaps each heart is different
Perhaps some Souls move on
 perhaps in constant solitude
We dwell on that which has gone

Perhaps we prefer live in anguish
To stare in the face of regret
when embraced by the love of another
We fear that we may just forget

so if healed I will tear these wounds open
In this Chasm of sadness I'll stay
Until we are reunited
I'll think of you every day

Ahh! Sad one. It has good flow and rhythm to it. Thanks for dropping by my work ADD. My grandson had really bad allergies which caused him to have hearing problems and he was very nearsighted which both of those alone was bad enough but then he had the ADD. He has made in through one year of college. I hope that he can get a good education so that he can get a good job. Sara
