He Wont Leave Me

Friends are temporary pain is momentary
one chance is mortal
God is eternal
mom and dad cant provide outside of room and board
all is for here and now
except the lord
he wont leave me
he woke me up last night
to tell him i love him
i blew kisses to the sky like my first crush was waiting on a cloud
i called out to him vocals on loud thank you
than you Thank you

I told my man goodbye
and he turned around and walked away
i told my friends i'll catch up with them some day
all that's here is just to occupy me but
he wont ever leave me

Those moments i ran out of things to say
those minit long lifetimes when all i could do was pray
he was there right beside me
he was there the whole time to guide me
i'm telling you i could not shake him if i could
he won't leave me he's the only one who understood
