He Will Always Be

The one that got aborted
The one that got sorted
The one whose screams were ignored
The one whose choices were not invited

He will always be your son
He will always be the unborn sun
Your life's biggest fan
But now your life's most painful gun

Sometimes his portrait will show
In only your mind that knows
The excited first weeks of his glow
The excited first weeks and how your motherly instincts flowed
The decisions that impaired life's oath
The decisions that affected his innocent growth
