He Was Being a Father

Being a father wasn't easy,
when he tried to understand.
He forgave what most could not.
Being a father, wasn't easy, he had to worry a lot,
not to show partiality, in love, and kindness.
Being a father, wasn't easy,
when he was needed, and knew not,
what to say or do.
Being a father, wasn't easy,
when he awoke at dawn with the rising sun,
to find that time was, running out on him.
Yet, being a father was easy,
when he got the needed love, and support,
as he tried, to fill the footsteps,
of the one, we all loved so much.
