He Was a Worthwhile Friend

He was a worthwhile opponent; our debates were insane.
But he did not have enough sense to come out of the rain.
Wait a second; I stayed out there, laughing about it too.
We were honorary brother and sister, that’s nothing new.

He was clever and funny and laughed like a well-oiled machine.
He rarely agreed with me, yet he never was horrible or mean.
We had such a fine relationship, we were friends to the end.
Unfortunately, that was yesterday; now I say goodbye to my friend.

Sounded like a really fine friend. Love friends you can debate with without getting personal about it. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end.

Death is only the beginning but still it is such a surprise; even though we all know it surely must be coming.
