He Stands His Post

I know there's reason to believe
In faith and hope and love
But these days it's overrated
The shopping malls can't get enough
How 'bout sacrifice and honor
God's glory and world peace?
These things are hardly mentioned
That is to say the least
They are the greatest virtues
What a man is fighting for
He stands his post
In bitter hopes
He need not fight in this great war
