He Painted the Sky

Tangerine, crimson, aquamarine Behold the sunrise, an artists palette Such vivid colours they conjure a scene Truly so lovely, my favourite and yet Coral and lemon with a lilac hued tinge The soft touch of lavender delights me too, Beautifully set in a saffron rich fringe A watermelon finish, chartreuse peeping through. Look to the heavens some clear early morn Take it all in, a treat for the eye A kaleidoscope feast, the day now reborn How wondrous the Lord... he painted the sky.
