He Lays Alone

He lays alone in the shadows, Waiting for night to fall. Seeking peace in his nightmares Thinking nobody cares at all. He wonders if he did enough, As lightning strikes his cold soul. The thunder explodes in his mind, Of all those dreams he never told. In his coffin he sleeps in slient torment, When his spirit flees to another realm. Where the darkness and fire rule the land, As down, down, down in the pit he fell.
