He Is Risen
Christ is risen, He's no more in the grave,
Christ is risen, has overcome death wave,
The tomb could not hold Him
Defeated Reaper Grim
He is risen, the sepulchre's open
He is risen, the chains of sin broken
The earth could not hide Him
His light would not grow dim
Christ crucified, offered Himself in love
He is risen, seated in heav'n above
The stone was rolled away
'pon Him, death could not prey
He is risen, interceding for us
He is risen, His blood has freed us thus
Reason for living hope
Life eternal, our scope
