He Has Lied To Her
He has lied to her
over and over again,
he shouldn't lash out at her
they're supposed to be best friends.
He said he'd quit drinking
he's lied about it in the past,
hope she held within her heart
but that was quickly dashed.
She knows deep down inside
he regrets their life together,
seems every time he drinks
they're in for some nasty weather.
He complains about being broke
drinks more when he's bored,
one of these days, she might leave
on their life, she'll close the door.
She knows why he drinks
his problems, he tries to drink away,
but she is still with him
trying to hold her tears at bay.
