He Gave Her a Book
She is a very noble, wise, and enduring person.
He was invited to her birthday celebration, and
Deciding a gift for her was not an easy task.
He was not the type to seek relatives to ask.
At the age of 88, she had experienced a lot,
But he thought to himself, "What has she not?"
He could not think of anything, but he thought
About her love and thirst for her God and country;
And she loved to read. So he decided perhaps he could
Locate a book that she would enjoy reading but also treasure.
He thought again to himself and said, "Why, she has plenty
Of Holy Books of many translations, study guides, and other
Good Christian books, and who knows how many books
she has about the history and great leaders of her country?".
He then considered the fact that he had several unused copies
of The U. S. Constitution and thought, "What better gift could
one receive who loves her/his country as much as she?"
She was already a well informed citizen who not only cherished
hers, but also the freedoms and rights of every American.
The Bill of Rights and other great amendments in The Constitution
would assist her greatly in conversing with others. So he said, "That's it! Final answer!" He gave her a book comprising both her
state constitution and The Constitution of The U. S.
