He Didn'T Get It

"Where are you he asked"

In my head I said

He got angry

Cause he couldn’t get there

Told him no one could

The bridge was burned

In a fire in 04

A bad winter, you know

He didn’t get it

"You’re backwards in things you say"

But you know what I mean

When I say them

Now don’t get so wounded

It’s just a character evaluation

 The way he fidgets

Gives me the church giggles

And that boy gets so mad

I don’t care

Wonder how red he’ll get

When I get up to

Leave

He won’t see

He’s looking over his shoulder at another boy

Another to chase after

"Where are you he asked"

In my head I said

Now don’t get so wounded

It’s just a character evaluation

And that boy gets so mad
