He Closed the Door

I let it go,
I let it all go.
I sank down,
I sank to my knees.

He’s gone,
He’s gone forever.
He closed the door,
He closed it behind him.

I should’ve told him,
I should’ve have fought.
I shouldn’t have let him go,
I should’ve followed.

He’s gone,
He’s gone forever.
He closed the door,
He closed it behind him.

I should’ve begged,
I should’ve pleaded.
I shouldn’t have sat there,
I shouldn’t have let him shut it.

He’s gone,
He’s gone forever.
He closed the door,
He closed it behind him.

I let it go,
I let it all go.
I let him go,
I let him close the door.
