Hazy Shade Memories

Isolated each aspect—bereft of any link,
An ambrosian aura encircles an empty clink.

Lenses produce rippling prisms out of embrace,
They glide through a quivering mind—arcane case.

Someone has trapped an aura in an optical hall,
Awareness is molded by external gaze—it recalls.

Whispers of sunshine and shade intertwined,
Cast shadows and advise on edges—undermined.

Memories faded into a sepia hue—silence now,
The howling gusts serve as audible avows.

This ancient wind originates from the past,
Weighed down by sorrow—of dwindling cast.

Smiles in darkness—as tongues held quiet,
Time is ethereal, and memories are defiant.

A sepia-hued whisper-echo beckons me,
An aureate beleaguer core is to foresee.

Duke Beaufort May 5, 2024 at 6:57 PM SP, these are very creative couplets. The first seems to indicate they are unrelated except that they pertain to our memories and how they are not as clear cut as we might believe. Masterful! I could be all wrong of course

I absolutely love the way you’ve articulated your lines and delivered them in such eloquence. What hits the most for me is “Memories faded into a sepia hue—silence now, The howling gusts serve as audible avows.” Your use of colors and personified nature truly stands out in a very artistic manner! You definitely have a way with words and expressing poetically using rhymes and more!
