Hazy Days In Colorado
Hazy Days in Colorado
By Elton Camp
So many are now buying out there
There’s a haze of smoke in the air
Those who desire to get high
Just breathing, they should try
So many bought a joint to smoke
That innocent ones began to choke
“Oh, man, I’m beginning to fly”
Was the oft-heard, delighted cry
Sales taxes into city coffers flow
The mayor’s heart begins to glow
The police have got a big relief
Pot now legal, they’ll nab a thief
The preacher also will win
Now there is one less sin
If Colorado passes the pot test,
How far behind will be the rest?
Statistics improve, that’s no surprise
If a state proceeds to decriminalize
Now, since this trend did begin
What’ll be the next former sin?
