Have You Ever

Have you ever questioned yourself?
Felt like you've done nothing right?

Have you ever put on a smile, yet cried
Quietly all night?

Have you ever felt so alone around an
Abundance of people?
Closed yourself off and pretended none of it was real

Have you ever held back the tears of anxiety and pain?
So when you're alone they pour down like rain

Have you ever felt like disappearing so you don't have to face all that you're fearing

Have you ever said "I'm just fine, thanks" then after each time your heart slowly breaks

Have you ever just wanted to rip off your mask? To show your true colors but it's too daunting a task

Have you ever felt like screaming but nothing comes out?
Even your voice box is severely worn out

Have you ever felt like giving up because nothing goes right?
Pondering your escape each and every night

Have you ever longed for someone's embrace?
To help remind you that the world isn't such a bad place...
