Have Mercy On My Soul
I do love my God
And He knows that is true
But my whole life has been pain
My mood's always blue
I do have a big heart
Caring and knowledge to share
Yet pain's always around me
Life seems so very unfair
I've tried so hard at love
But always fell flat on my face
I've played the fool long enough
I just want out of this race
Taking one's life might be wrong
But living like this has got to be too
So have mercy on my soul God
For you know I've always loved you!
