Have a Look

Let's look in this drawer
to see what we'll find
interesting things there maybe
oh there's a letter sealed and signed

There could be a secret or two
you just never know
that letter is really a puzzle
someone's addressed it to you

I don't know who it could be from
who would write to me?
the handwriting's very neat
oh let's have a look and see

It's dated twenty five years ago
and signed love from Kate
who saw me at some party
was wondering if we could date

But time has passed and gone
where now could she be
married, had children and whatever else
certainly not meant for me!
