Notes About The Poem

HAUNTING SEASON

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ crisp leaf-rustle sound~ was that a step behind me? just the wind, unmasked. porch pumpkin grins wide, candle-glow sinks into seeds— dark chews the last light. frost sketches the pane: ghost-trees reach with brittle bones... winter whispers soon.
