Haunted Red Barn

H awthorne bushes wildly overgrown, line the mud and gravel driveway A bandoned by a farmer years ago, sold to someone unknown to all U ntouched by human hands, it now appears to be totally deserted N oticeable is the large red barn that sits predominantly on the land T rees and uncut crops fill the fields which roll down the hill to the river E very night lights are seen moving around the isolated farm property D iesel engines are heard rumbling over the wind very late at night R umors spread about the haunted red barn down the country road E ven neighbours wonder why a beautiful barn sits alone and empty D aylight hours offer little explanation of its existence, no movement seen B ut is it really empty - is someone being hidden there against their will A larming questions arise in our minds on this country road, imaginations R un wild and every terrible scenario is suggested until we get an answer N iagara police bust this crystal meth lab- one of the largest found in Ontario * This is a true story, for years we walked by this haunted red barn on our country road. November 2010 police from the USA, Canadian-American border, Niagara, Hamilton and Toronto police busted one of the largest crystal meth labs - now that’s Scary! This is a really great piece Lee. Especially since it is true. Love the acrostic approach. Not easy. Congratulations

wow, what a GREAT way to tell a story, with acrostic and then it turns out to be TRUE as well. Have you seen Breaking Bad? About the nice professor man who ends up making meth for gangsters against his will? That is a pretty scary show on AMC!!
