Haunted by your Love

This pain is excruciating
Although I’m physically-sound
Consumed by your presence
Even when you’re not around
I admit that your absence
Almost took me down
Any time I run errands
I can see you out
I must have seen your ghost
When I seen you in the crowd
You took me on a foot chase
Although I never found you
I thought I heard your voice
And that little sound you make
When you get excited
I hate the constant let down
But your remembrance; I like it
You were in our favorite eatery
When I was passing by
I spun the black and parked
But you were gone by the time
That I made it to your booth
I sat down, looked to the sky
Asked God why he was punishing me
The smell of your perfume was his reply
Tortured by your absence
But blessed for the memories
Overall, a man broken
Because you’re not here with me
