Haunted By a Long Lost Love
Two silhouettes in the moonlight haunted by a memory
embers of a night's cajole and stokes of freedom fire
gilded leaves of Autumn sigh and whoosh a lonesome cry
Two lovers haunted by a long lost love that once was theirs
are standing on a wishing cloud - one up and one below
he's aching for an angel's kiss with eyes of reminisce ;
Egressing fast towards the pyre the sparrows join her flight
while on a passing cloud their floats a dream that is no more
he's asking her to dance again - inside his empty arms
But all he hears is the soft song of a Summer Breeze
and an angel's haunting voice that brings him to his knees
as the gilded leaves of Autumn fly a whoosh a nigh n' nigh
Two silhouettes in the moonlight dancing cheek to cheek
one is visible one is not , with spectre light laid bare
he tucks her in his heart for she feels small and light as air
Egressing fast towards the pyre he narrows up the lane
she's living in God's humble lair and he on earthly plane
emergence of the spirit kind - truest love unchained .
