Haunted

I write the perfect lies
Just to cover my disguise
A ghost shaped by disease
Covered up by the layers of dream

Digging up my cries
Renewing reasons to despise
The boy that couldn’t choose
Covers up with the pain he used

So silent are the skies
The only place left I can hide
A ghost that needs to see
Covered up by the clouds of me

The tales of not to die
Rewriting hope takes up all my time
The man that wants to stand
Covers up with a poet’s hands

Another perfect lie
Nothing’s real when I can’t cry
A ghost lives underneath
Covered up by a mirror’s dream
