Haunted

Every night,
When I go to bed,
I see her face,
In my head.

Baby blue eyes,
Her strawberry hair,
I see that beautiful face,
Everywhere.

A fearless nature,
Such a spark,
In just one night,
You broke our hearts.

Drunken hands,
On the wheel,
You drove your car,
Into the field.

Of the four passengers,
That were inside,
Our Heather,
Was the one who died.

In my dreams
I hug her tight
She tells me
It will be alright

She's always gone
When I awake,
The memories
Cause my heart to ache.

Your apologies,
Can never ease the pain,
And though I know,
You don't carry all the blame,

I hate you so much,
I want to scream,
For the killing the cousin,
Who haunts my dreams.
