Hatred
Hatred
“12 Hatred stirs up quarrels, but love makes up for all offenses.13 Wise words come from the lips of people with understanding, but those lacking sense will be beaten with a rod.” Prov 10:12-13 NLT
Hatred stirs up dissension—
Anger destroys the peace.
Lying lips can endeavor to conceal it;
By slander it finds release.
Hatred changes the atmosphere;
Releases fear wherever it does go;
Seeds of resentment and bitterness,
By anger are made to flow.
Hatred is a spirit
Of purely demonic origin.
It’s a mighty tool of the evil one,
For both the Christian and the pagan.
Hatred loves death and destruction—
Destroys many lives along the way.
If you possess the spirit of Hatred,
Plead for your Lord to take it away.
Hatred can be elusive;
Not necessarily bold and loud,
But submerged beneath the surface;
Resting with the arrogant and proud.
At times it reaches the surface;
Controls the tongue by its will;
Uses force that’s physical
To control or even kill.
Many who live within prisons—
Incarceration it’s called,
Are there because of Hatred,
That’s demonically installed.
Hatred knows no boundaries;
Has no desire for discipline;
Lashes out instinctively;
Is another name for sin.
Hatred is a mocker—
It comes quickly to destroy.
It has many tentacles—
Satan does employ.
It creates unhealthy soil
For the life of the one who hates;
Provides a harvest of sickness and solitude;
Opens up death’s flood gates.
There’s an answer to Hatred
Found in the God above.
For the base of Hatred
Is truly a lack of love.
If this spirit called Hatred
Has overtaken your soul,
Cry out to God to free you,
From its bondage and control.
