Hate the Holdiays

I hate the holidays
there I said it
you can crucify me
and you can leave me out of your plans

I'm the scroogiest of scrooges as time goes on
I want my time to myself
I want Christmas vacation to recover from my job morbidity
I don't want to visit chat, exchange cookies or have meals with your
family
or mine
no thinks

I hate the holidays
there, I said it
you can recoil in horror I don't really care
you can buy endless gifts for ungrateful people
you can speak endless nothings and compliment people you hate
but
I wont join you.

It is fun having a few days off from our regular routine or job and enjoy family and cookies and not doing anything pressing just resting. Hope that you will enjoy your Christmas vacation. Dane Ann Smith-Johnsen November 29, 2009 at 12:39 PM Dearest Veronica (Scrooge...lol) Holidays can get so overwhelming if the people that you surround yourselves with are into the commercial end of things without remembering to worship God and show true caring love to family (gifts or no gifts) Commercialism has ruined the worshiping of the Lord for many. The holidays I've disliked the most were those I spent alone, but work-related stress can really make you long for some peace and quiet. Love, Carolyn
