Harmony

I respect others opinions, asked for or not
I hold my peace until your point is over
My advice is given, when only it is sought
If I yawn, please "excuse me" as I cover

The compassion I show is only selfless
And expect nothing back but a smile
It will not ever take an act of Congress
When I am done, I will feel worth while

I really worry about our common courtesy
It seems like it is so lost behind the wheel
Driver overtakes driver, savage idiocy
There's no appeal to me, just to surreal

My daily practice of my civility
Has brought me some great friends
I pray this outpouring of antiquity
Will catch on and start trends

Very cute, Mitch. STORY: as a teenager learning to drive, it was before women's lib. Wherever I went, men and boys always waited and opened the door for me to enter before they did. They stood when ladies entered the room, and showed a lot of courtesy. Well, was I in for a big surprise way back then when I started to make a left turn and the man stopped at the light in the oncoming lane started going before waiting for me to turn left! My boyfriend screamed. It wasn't the same in cars! LOL
