Harley and David

Our two kids…I never knew this would happen but I am glad it did

Can’t wait to hear you say Dad or kiss me goodnight

Those little hands and little feet have such a big impact on me

She has her mother’s eyes with a forever beauty that you can see in one second

I hold you as long as I can because every second quickly turns into another day or another year as you grow older

He has his father’s smile that he carries even when he does not want to

He will become everything he wants to be

Just a few seconds apart holding you both in my hands embracing the
innocence and rejecting the day we will be apart

So, until that day comes, I will try to make you laugh every chance I get

I will try to take away every tear, and I will try to make the pain not hurt as bad as it will

The world is cruel, unfair, and narcissistic

I wish there was a healthy alternative, so it would not have to be so hard for the both of you

And this is one wish that became true because Christ died for everyone including you two

As much as your mother and I will worry about the both of you we know that you’re both in good hands just like the day you were born and I held you both in my hands, I will never let go

P.S. telling you hold on tight as we ride off on my Harley Davidson …
