Hard To Be Without

I find people are usually, Illogical and self-centered. I often feel the Twilight Zone, I entered. If you're kind they accuse you Of hidden motives. I find it hard to Not be explosive. In my journey I have had, False friends and trusted enemies. Life takes on many shapes, Sizes and densities. What you spend years building Someone can destroy overnight. Sometimes energy spent, It is not worth the fight. Can love really Be an instantaneous thing? It takes effort and patience For it to spring. Love should be easy, A ray of hope. Not a tug from a Slipping rope. Love should be amazing, A dazzling light. Not something that fades Slowly out of sight. When you're down it's hard to believe, You just have to wait. Doing the right thing, not everyone Has this character trait. Love was not designed To put on a show. It is not something that can Come and then go. They say with time I will heal. That won't change The way I feel. I loved her with all of me, This I have no doubt. It was so easy with her, So hard to be without. Turbo1904

Hello Debbie Brown, I sense sadness here in this poem. In time you will heal. Right it does not change how you feel. Hugs.
