At the core of my home
Reward for my efforts
Time spent alone
Flying on planes
Unfamiliar faces
No need to explain
How crucial my space is
A crisp hotel bed
In a place, far away
Time, in my head
Before words I say
Unique ways of living
To excite a routine
The feeling of winning
Support from a team
A life I can trust
No, hard hitting twists
Events, pre-discussed
Checking off lists
A mild, solo stroll
Beneath leaves, falling
To pamper my soul
And ponder my calling
