Happy Thoughts
Ever feel like the day was completely lost?
And your sanity has long since been tossed
Into a river of rage and ocean of bad things
Forgotten smiles and forgotten daydreams
Thinking of ways to make it all be good
With a magic wand if only you could
Well I found a way to do just that
Do you mind if you and I have a chat?
About nice things like new shoes and coats
About the sea, birds, and really big boats
The way clothes smell when freshly dried
Corn dogs, ferris wheels and cheese that's fried
Apple pies and singing love songs in the rain
Close your eyes, I promise no more pain
Happy thoughts can blow the clouds far away
They make the tide move and the trees sway
It makes the flowers smile upon the ground
Now you see where happiness can be found
