Happy the New Year
Turning around and around
The earth, the moon, and the sun
The tree rings, the skin wrinkles,
That's how it turns into a cycle
Keeping an eye on them
Here, there and everywhere
Appear and disappear,
That's how it turns into them
The figures, the voices, the faces
The fresh, the old or the familiar traces
The worries and smiles come and go
That's how it turns into flesh and soul
Like a river, like a stream,
As always, never dried up
Life is still needing for fame
And as always, be still tough
That's how it turns into a life
Summer, autumn, winter, spring
Eyes are following the colors
And hearts feel the wind and rain
That's how it turns into years
Light of lives is never extinct
And life must be filled with:
New attempts and new fortune
That's how life is going to be
We are happy with a new year
For our passions,
our chances,
and our dreams,
Happy the whole year!
