Happy memories of the past

Happy memories of the past:
Mothers rubbing dirt from your face in the school playground, playing a game of kiss chase

Wearing short trousers and cuts on your knees, scrumping apples from apple trees

Playing down the playground, saying hello to a stranger living as a child, we did not see danger

Hide-and-seek play-fighting with your best friend. You did not want to grow up and you did not want your childhood to end

The wind in your face when out riding your bike, walking for miles, just for a hike

But you must grow up and the childhood fun had to end, but you will never forget your childhood and playing with your best friend
